How to setup Logitech QuickCam E 3500 with ZoneMinder in Fedora

In order to list the usb devices connect and to find the model number of myLogitech Webcam I used the following command that I found here

# lsusb
Bus 002 Device 005: ID 413c:2002 Dell Computer Corp. SK-8125 Keyboard
Bus 002 Device 004: ID 046d:c51b Logitech, Inc. V220 Cordless Optical Mouse for Notebooks
Bus 002 Device 003: ID 051d:0002 American Power Conversion Uninterruptible Power Supply
Bus 002 Device 002: ID 413c:1002 Dell Computer Corp. Keyboard Hub
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 001 Device 006: ID 046d:09a4 Logitech, Inc. QuickCam E 3500

You can see on the last line my webcam is the 3500.

 

Miltiadis Hatzimihailwas not able to get his quickcam to work with zm so he did this creative work around.
